    Astral Noize x Christwvrks collaborative longsleevesAfter working closely together on the Astral Noize issue 5 cover, and a physical cassette/artbook multimedia product, we decided to collaborate with multimedia organisation Christwvrks on a longsleeve t-shirt design. https://astralnoizeuk.com/product/astral-noize-longsleeve/ Alongside my team, I helped to design the shirts, as well as negotiate an investment deal and marketing plan that worked in both organisations interests, and incorporated both organisation's marketing platforms.

    Since 2016, I have headed up the growth of Astral Noize from a 'zine into a succesful multimedia umbrella incorporating a biennial magazine, a website, a record label, and most recently, a live events wing. My roles and responsibilities: - Writing features, reviews, thinkpieces and Q&A articles for the website and physical magazine - Planning and commissioning content for the website and physical magazine - Sub-editing and proofreading content for web and physical magazine, as well as building and organising a team of contributors to do the same - Sourcing images for the magazine - Commisioning visual artwork for the magazine - Building relationships with PRs, contributors, industry figures and bands in order to increase awareness of the Astral Noize band and size of the team - Establishing efficient methods of business communication and organisation (Slack and Google Drive) to counteract the issue of team members working remotely - Co-ordinating the marketing of magazine and label releases via social media channels

    Through my undergrad in Popular Music Journalism at Southampton Solent, I learned how to produce music journalism content for print and the web, web design, video production, podcast production and photography. I also received a grounding in theoretical perspectives regarding music, specialising in experimental music and film production, and produced a dissertation centered around the phenomenon of the far-right in the black metal scene.
