About me
I'm a graphic designer based in Scotland and a recent graduate of BA (Hons) Communication Design from Gray's School of Art in Aberdeen. I love all things typographic and I am especially interested in how it can impact how people view or feel about something. Hand lettering is also a recurring theme in my practice, creating a bespoke design solution to meet the needs of the brief and producing something more individual. My outcomes usually fall into the category of graphic design, but I also incorporate illustration into my work.
Projects
  • Student Support Website
Student Support WebsiteI started this project as part of Graphic Design Festival Scotland's Live Brief where we were asked to create a concept in response to the question: "Where is home?". I wanted to create a support service to give students access to mental health support and a platform to connect with other students at their university.
  • Infographic Mini-Project
Infographic Mini-ProjectTo kick off our Honours year at university, we were set the project of designing an infographic which was centred around one of our areas of interest/research we conducted over the Summer break. I decided to base mine around my fascination with typography, particularly the typography used by different underground rail systems in European capital cities.
  • Lettering Mural
Lettering MuralI have two murals planned in a local store in Aberdeen, which will show the aims of the shop: to have a positive impact on the community and the environment.

For two weeks, I had the opportunity to intern with Whitespace in their Creative department. I loved my time there: I learned so much within such a short visit and it was a great opportunity to get my first experience of working in a creative agency. I worked on a multitude of projects, all at different stages of the design process and I believe I was a proactive and valuable member of the teams I joined in my time there.
