Throughout my career I have enjoyed focussing on the business side of the entertainment industry. Playing an active role in procuring and nurturing new business while maximising profit is something I find very rewarding. I also enjoy the creative aspects of this industry and am fortunate to have had the opportunity to develop treatments, write scripts, and inspire and encourage teams to take greater creative risks. Strong and clear narratives with high production values captivate audiences, and understanding how to do this effectively within an assigned budget is a challenge I like to rise to. I believe I am particularly adept at using my production, business and IT skills to capitalise on the maximum commercial potential for any given project whilst ensuring the company’s long term aims and objectives are achieved.Locked Pro Plan feature
From November 2018 I went back to freelancing, and I have been working for a range of different companies. For most of 2019 I have been working with the Edge Picture Company. I was leading the HSBC Global Mandatory Training (GMT) for the Edge. I was particularly interested in this job as it had well over 100 stakeholders feeding into different aspects of the training; which helped me strengthen my client management skills. A feature documentary I worked on, with Dover Street Entertainment, got premiered at Venice Film Festival 2019, so that was a particular highlight for me this year. I’m also in the middle of delivering several projects, but the most interesting one in my opinion, is the female-led sci-fi feature film called Beyond Existence.
TCO London is the home of subculture magazine Huck and film magazine Little White Lies. Over the last few years they were approached by brands and agencies to help create bespoke solutions to client problems and the agency was formed. At TCO London I oversaw all productions which include, but are not limited to; short and long format films, print (magazine and books), events, and distribution. Typically, there are 25 – 30 different projects on the go at any one time. I supervised all of them and ensured everything was running smoothly and on time. I was also responsible for all financial aspects of production from budget planning to final sign off. I have helped develop a system, from a financial and production perspective that enables TCO to scale up rapidly should more work be commissioned. I was also responsible for high-end client relations and securing new and/or additional work. Some of the projects I have worked on at TCO London include: LDNR / Nothing Beats a Londoner - Nike Adidas Archive - Adidas Life Moments - Pandora MLB 108 Zine – Major League Baseball Base Jump – Budweiser Parallel Stance – Vans Ideas Report – WeTransfer Spaces In Between – Size? During my time at The Edge Picture Company I produced several projects for them.
I oversaw all activity within the Branded Content department of ITN Productions. I was often coordinating multiple productions at any given time, and managing a team of both permanent employees and freelancers. From setting objectives and ensuring they were aligned with the company goals to developing relationships with clients were some of my main responsibilities at ITN. Time management, budgeting and scheduling are essential skills I used to ensure the department was running smoothly and meeting its deadlines. A particular highlight was producing daytime studio format series, Matalan’s The Show with Denise Van Outen. This is first time a daytime television format has been adapted and used for branded content. Projects include: Matalan’s The Show – ITV & Matalan Smart Investor Series – Barclays Club 18-30 TV – Thomas Cook Money Clip Minute Series – NatWest Market Mavens Series – BNY Mellon Cadbury Award Film – ITV Money and Cancer – Macmillan Cancer Drugs and Alcohol – Aggregate Industries Thank You Film – British Council Eagle Labs – Barclays Smart Investor Migration – Barclays Club Xtra – Thomas Cook Cyberhood – Aggregate Industries Mega – Pictet Personalisation Video – Barclays Direct Investor – Barclays Interview Comedy Series – Reed Recruitment Avios – Animation Reversion What’s Hot With Henk Potts Series – Barclays Acquisition Film – Barclays All To Play For Series – William Hill Lives – NatWest Red Bull Event – Red Bull BBC Children in Need Primary Stars – Premier League Budget Special – NatWest
