Any advice on places in London to get some work done in a nice creative/inspiring environment?

  • Launch22 Poplar! It might seem a bit off the beaten track but it is well connected by DLR (5 mins to Canary Wharf and 20 mins to Bank). The location enables us to be a very affordable space too. It's a nice modern, clean, quiet and productive space - and we're very happy to offer trial days! Drop me an email (emily@launch22.co.uk) to chat more!
  • I would suggest going to small spaces that are run independantly. I like supporting small businesses. The Isle of Olive on Ada Street in East London is very small but they serve delicious coffee and greek teas and they welcome you to work there for a bit. Another place is Today Bread in Walthamstow. It was founded by a graphic designer who then became a baker. Lovely bread, coffees and space to work in for a bit. In all of these spaces it's good to be mindful and not spend too long in the space if you are not going to drink or eat much.
  • The answer will vary depending on the kind of work, how many people, if you have memberships or access etc. but I’ve worked out of a few spaces in Shoreditch before:
    — the lobby / restaurant area of the Hoxton Hotel
    — same for Ace
    — Shoreditch House
    — The Forge

And work regularly out of the co-working space at Protein Studios. Love the people and music and puppies there especially.
