Hey! Can anyone offer advice on the best, cheapish DSLRs for beginners, please? Finally diving into photography and buying my first camera.

  • I would say most mid-range Canon or Sony Alphas are great. Just check out reviews before buying. But do focus more on what lenses you get, these are key and how high their aperture is to get the best range of depth of field. And what range of lenses you get largely depend on what photography you want to get into - Portrait? Landscape? Street? Abstract or bit of everything? One of my favourite lenses is a 50mm prime lense with a high aperture range.

    Hope that helps!
