Hi there, I'm looking for an illustrator to help create some child-friendly face masks that paediatric doctors could wear on their wards.
In paediatric wards around the country, sick children are suddenly confronted with doctors who are required to wear face masks. This makes the doctors look frightening to kids, and so is becoming an emotional as well as a physical barrier between them, preventing doctors from providing the best possible care for kids.
The project would be in collaboration with Fashionizer, a uniform design and manufacturer, who have developed fabric masks coated with anti-covid protection. Your illustrations would be printed on to the masks to make them more approachable and friendly for children in hospitals.
We're looking for an illustrator (or illustrators) who could draw child-friendly characters to be printed on to the masks. Payment would be based on a royalty model, based on the number of sales, although all masks would be sold at cost to the NHS and other healthcare providers, to ensure they can reach the widest possible number of people in need.

Please send me a private message with your website or dots profile, whichever has the best examples of relevant work, as well as a contact email I can pass on to the person hiring.This is also a bit more like a collaboration in spirit, as the payment would be royalty based, not immediate. I want to make sure that's clear for everyone, as I know there are so many of us who need cash now, and I wouldn't want anyone to feel misled.
