I'd really like to stretch my creative writing (i'm very much a beginner). Any suggestion for courses/workshops?

Doesn't need to be to be specific for work (becoming a copywriter).

  • Fiona Thomas has a few great writing workshops and prompts - some of it is more targetted to non-fiction but there are some good starting points.

Also the Wordweaver Podcast by Lousie Claire Johnson she is a Canadian writer and each episode breaks down all the steps for writing creatively.
  • I did a Creative Writing course last year with Future Learn and it was great and completely free. There were some sections which involved peer review so good if you need a push to get people to read your work and be held accountable then I recommend it! https://www.futurelearn.com/courses/start-writing-fiction

    Good luck!
  • Hi Kate, I've shared a few links below of courses I've come across while researching creative non-fiction courses, which seem to be harder to find than fiction! Hope you find what you're looking for.

In particular, have a gander at the Writing Prompts column. Very beneficial, whether your a novice or pro.

    Good luck.
