Is there a possibility of learning UI / UX design without studying it? What can you recommend?

- @Jana Malderle Happy Friday I see the passion is there, so go for, small, sign up to LinkedIn Pro free trial (remember to cancel) and there are some courses for UI/ UX design
- Thank you for this question @Ramon Blake Guthrie!Well, from the impression I have, what I like most about it would be the following …1. The impact of colours, images and typography on a website and how they can change a brand's identity and mood.2. Unexpected layouts of websites and playful animations that turn the digital world into something that feels more “real”.3. The ability to take the user on a journey of possibilities. Whether it's a website that works as a source of inspiration or an online magazine or E-Commerce, the user should easily find what he/she is looking for or dive into a world where they can forget their problems for a little while.
- @Monica Nguyen Love this thought. Thank you for your reply.
- @Daniel Pardo thank you, I sure do and will do in the future. ; )
- Thank you, @Agathe Montagnon – I will definitely take a look at it. Would love to learn it online too!
- @Nancy O'Connor Thank you for your reply! I will check it out!
- There are a whole bunch of free webinars on @General Assembly but you may need a qualification, if you're looking into getting a job in it
- Hi Jana, in my opinion, you need to study it, at least the basics? I am myself learning UI / UX design online and for free...I can recommend the website Open Classrooms. There are some great courses on it, and I've learnt a lot so far on UX theory. Happy to discuss it on PM! Agathe https://openclassrooms.com/fr/search?page=1&categories=Design&language=en
- Read up on sites like Medium and listen to talks by UXers and businesses entrepreneurs/start ups.
- Design in every day interaction, both physical and digital world. It's everywhere around us, just simply paying attention to details (e.g., buying a cup of coffee, experience going to a virtual museum, etc.)
- Ask yourself first what are the top 3 things you like about Ui / Ux design?
