Is there anyone you'd recommend that's raising mental health awareness in a creative way? Would love to speak to someone for my podcast.

  • I would recommend talking to Suki Thompson. She has set something up could Let’s Reset.
It’s to help people in marketing and business deal with mental health.
Her initiative is pretty amazing, she’d be fantastic for a podcast.

My signature FAMOUS banana nut muffin recipe is the lead recipe in my pursuit to help people. Why is it called “FAMOUS”? Well, it saved a man’s life.

  • I am putting together an interdisciplinary art zine and curating content from other creatives with lived experience of mental illness or struggles. A lot of my own work touches on the theme of mental health as well, the feature film script I'm working on currently for example features two main characters with bipolar affective disorder (which I also have) and in my spare time I'm a mental health advocate.

In April 2020, after losing my job resultant from lockdown, I set up my own radio talk show 'The Isolation Station' discusssing mental health under quarantine. It has interviewed many people ranging from psychotherapists to musicians to shamanic practitioners, airing 6 episodes to date. Sample episode link:

I am most passionate about the subject of mental health awareness after suffering myself from clinical depression and anxiety, and have also led a poetry workshop for vulnerable adults employed within Pret A Manger's Rising Stars programme. Seeking to use poetry to further educate on this crucial subject. Is any of this of interest?
