What are professional designer's thoughts on including a photo of yourself on a CV? Completely redundant or job dependant?

- It's not a beauty contest.
- I believe it is more common on the continent, but I wouldn't do so, as Rohit says, in the modern world people can probably find a picture of you pretty quickly!
- Maybe including a website or a profile link(Dots, Linkedin) in the CV would work. Have always been in favour of concise and to the point CVs. Never felt a need to include a picture.
- Some great advice on this here @George D-c : https://the-dots.com/asks/should-i-add-a-photo-of-me-and-my-birth-date-age-on-my-cv-for-a-creative-application-in-the-uk-16667
- Pointless. Your appearance shouldn't have any bearing on your employability, and by including an image your allowing it to. Secondly, as someone who's had to look over a lot of CVs, anything that makes them more complicated is really annoying - and that includes a photo, being over-designed, extraneous information.
