what would you like to see in an event to celebrate women in March for women's month? :)

  • Personally I like interactive events where you feel like you've learnt and achieved something from inpsiring women! Either teaching you tools for the future or pure escapism, I am joining an art class for example! x
  • Women being asked to talk about their skills and their profession, not about their sex.

I know we need to hear and share stories of our experiences as women in the workplace, but it'd be refreshing to see events celebrating success and looking forward, rather than always discussing bad experiences and looking back.
  • Stories of wins and failures and everything in between. Stories that bring insights but also advice on how to stay connected to oneself, how to overcome or power through. Stories that show a plethora of lived experiences and different ways of empathy.
  • Stories or pictures with commentaries of women everyday women who have been resilient, perhaps struggled, fought for their children, fought for rights, founded businesses, worked hard at home, cared for others, shown kindness or maybe overcame adversity against the odds. Basically inspirational accounts of real life, real women from diverse ethnicities, with abilities/disabilities, social status or class, who perhaps don’t look like your typical poster girl. :)
  • I have been photographign the UK's amazing working mums for #MortherWorks for over 3 years. Last year the images and stories were shown in the Houses of Parliament and Brixton Library Gallery, this year you can see them on our website, I hope they will inspire and empower and remind employers of the amazing contribution these women make to the economy and our future. https://www.wearemoi.net/mother-works-story
  • profiles of inspiring women whose stories are examples of strength, resilience and other qualities that readers can use to feel empowered and better about themselves
