The Covid-19 pandemic has shed some light on how society’s experience of crises, is influenced by general health, wealth, ethnicity, gender, disability, age, and surrounding environments. With so much unconscious or unexpressed bias in design, taking a more humanity-centred and inclusive design approach might help to empower all members of our society – across divides of race, gender, ability, and age. This event is an incredible opportunity to hear from designers and policymakers on how radical design thinking can be focused on supporting the vulnerable and marginalized individuals through more inclusive and just societies. Speakers: - Imandeep Kaur, Co-Founder & Director, CIVIC SQUARE - Suhair Khan, Strategic Projects Lead, Google - Robert Mull, Head of the School of Architecture and Design, University of Brighton & Managing Director, Publica
