About the Department:
Our Media Planning team is at the heart of our promotional strategy, ensuring that every second of airtime connects with our audiences in fresh and compelling ways. Collaborating with teams across Programming, Scheduling, Marketing, Creative, Streaming, Research, and Commercial, Media Planning drives ratings, grows revenue, and strengthens the brand identity of our beloved channels. About the Role:
As a Media Planner, you will be the architect of audience-focused, creative campaigns that make our channels unforgettable. From strategy to execution, you’ll guide promotional planning across the Paramount UK Network, helping to captivate audiences and build brand loyalty.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Campaign Strategy & Implementation: Bring our brand vision to life across Nickelodeon UK channels by executing media plans that enhance channel tone, communicate key messages, and ensure a smooth viewer experience.
  • Optimization & Analysis: Utilize the TE Optimizer tool to balance promo supply and demand, ensuring every campaign reaches its full potential.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Programming, Scheduling, Marketing, Creative, and Research teams to establish priorities and design effective, creative on-air campaigns.
  • Asset Management: Prepare monthly campaign lists with clear specifications for assets, maintaining a seamless flow from concept to screen.
  • Continuity & Creativity: Use continuity and visual innovation to maintain audience engagement and reduce viewer churn to competitors.
  • Scheduling & Compliance: Work closely with Channel Operations to ensure timely, accurate, and OFCOM-compliant transmission schedules.
  • Multi-platform Integration: Amplify campaign impact across on-demand and digital platforms for cohesive messaging.
  • Campaign Reporting: Track and evaluate campaign outcomes, sharing insights that contribute to ongoing improvements and best practices.
  • Industry Insight: Stay tuned to competitor activity and industry trends, bringing fresh insights to our team.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Media Planning Expertise: Strong experience in TV broadcast and VOD media planning, including scheduling and asset management.
  • Analytical Skills: Expertise in BARB, Infosys/Techedge, and media analysis tools for campaign measurement.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across teams and organizational levels.
  • Presentation Skills: Confident and clear communicator with experience presenting to diverse audiences.
  • Organizational Excellence: A keen eye for detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks, stay organized, and work efficiently under time constraints.
  • Autonomy & Initiative: Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of driving projects independently.
  • Industry Savvy: Solid understanding of commercial broadcasting and editorial standards.
