Burberry is looking for a skilled Merchandiser to join the Outlets team. Within this role you will work closely with the merchandising manager on the end-to-end process for the product range for a specific category, working with design, product development, and regional teams to execute product strategies. With the manager you will build collections, assist regional teams with buying, and collaborate with sourcing, inventory, and planning to enhance operations and inventory controls.
Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the product lifecycle from brief to delist/exit, ensuring alignment with category goals.
Range Planning & Strategy: Collaborate on range plans, pricing strategy, and competitor analysis to guide category decisions.
Performance Analysis: Monitor sales, inventory, discount rates, and margins globally/regionally, proposing actions based on insights.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build relationships with sourcing, design, product development, and planning teams to drive category strategies.
Operational Prioritisation: Support day-to-day prioritisation, meeting critical path deadlines, and coordinating production and deliveries.
Data Management & Reporting: Analyse sales reports, prepare seasonal reviews, manage market tools/documents, and ensure accurate PLM data entry.
Competitor & Pricing Insights: Conduct competitor pricing analysis and support the pricing team to maintain accurate price structures in PLM.
Administrative Support: Facilitate market/product training, handle administrative tasks, and support smooth team operations.
Proven experience in category merchandising, ideally within a luxury environment, with strong product knowledge and a refined taste level to confidently guide the design team.
Skilled in managing budgets, retail math, and product costing to balance creativity with commercial success.
Strong negotiation and collaboration skills, with the ability to share information credibly and engage cross-functional teams at all levels.
Capable of managing projects independently with excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
Advanced Excel and experience with SAP, PLM, would be ideal
