Is this the role for you?
We are looking for a Partner Marketing Manager to join the Paramount Partnerships team, working across the brand new 5 – linear, streaming and digital services.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Partner Marketing, the Partner Marketing Manager will be actively involved in all aspects of delivering partner marketing campaigns across all platforms.
We are looking for a self-starter who’s looking to play a pivotal role in the continued evolution of our content and platforms.
You will be responsible for defining, planning and implementing the partner marketing strategy, ensuring that marketing activity and campaigns are delivered to brief and on time. Working through a variety of projects (including delivery of campaign elements, project timelines, WIP reports, meeting facilitation etc…).
The successful candidate will need to communicate effectively and work closely with several internal partners and cross functional teams within the wider department including streaming, partnerships, marketing, PR, digital, creative etc.
You will be passionate about content and an interest in developing best in class partner campaigns to ensure our content, brands and services stand out. In this role, it is vital that you have excellent attention to detail and can build a rapport with our partners across affiliate, streaming and brand.
You are self-motivated, possess integrity and be able to work autonomously and ideally with a background in broadcast/streaming/entertainment.
What will you be doing?
The role holder will have direct responsibility for creating and developing the partner marketing strategy for 5 across streaming, leading day to day relationships with partners and internal teams to ensure that partnerships are well planned, run and performed.
Organic Campaign & Promotions Management
  • This role will deliver and implement Partner Organic promotional campaign plans across the 5 portfolio
  • Proactively communicate 5 portfolio of programming priorities in a timely and regular manner to our partners to support our channels across their subscriber touch points and /or customer comms
  • Write briefs for creative requirements for partner marketing campaigns/activations and assets
  • Work with internal creative teams to develop and deliver assets needed to deliver partner marketing campaigns
  • Create and present Organic Partner Marketing activity decks for key internal collaborators across affiliate, product and streaming that show analysis on the effectiveness of each activity and measurement of results from the campaigns.
  • Create, plan and optimise all project plans and status sheets.
  • Be a key point of contact for the day-to-day partner requests with regards to images, promo, logo requests with speed and accuracy
  • Liaise with brand marketing teams for consistency and prioritisation.
  • Liaising with partners regarding key assets and materials including imagery, footage, and copyright
  • Uploading partner assets to the media hub and handling approvals
  • Ensure all organic marketing promotions produced by ourselves and our commercial partners are consistent with our brand guidelines (linear & streaming). Provide partners with guidance on ways of working, our content priorities and co-branding guidelines.
  • Develop new and innovative ideas for these around our key content properties (desk drops, merch, events, cross promotion etc.)
  • Develop creative ideas for new partners such as Freely, Freeview, Virgin, Sky, Roku, Apple TV
  • Research, brief and run promotional merchandise requests from concepts, budgets through to delivery.
  • Host partners at 5 events/screenings.
  • Lead the tracking and processing of invoices associated with marketing spend, within assigned budget plans under the guidance of the Snr Director, Partner Marketing and Finance
  • Demonstrate understand the individual brand's personality, the core target audiences, values and that these are consistently communicated in an authentic way through all marketing activity
  • Working closely with the wider brand and performance marketing, PR, social and creative teams to ensure all campaigns are aligned and maximising recognition and reach
  • Be an ambassador for 5, internally and externally
Partner & project management
  • Project manage partner marketing campaigns
  • Track and report on key partnership metrics against forecasts and KPI’s from available data sources, both regularly during partnership terms and with post-campaign reports.
  • Identify areas of success or areas for improvement, making and actioning recommendations where relevant.
  • Build strong relationships within the wider business across both stakeholders and cross-functional teams within the wider brand marketing department
  • Review commercial contracts and wider marketing benefits attached to these – to then be fulfilled throughout the contractual timeframe.
  • Develop strong relationships with the external partners to amplify our content, brand and platforms.
  • Hold monthly meetings with Marketing & VOD editorial for anything which requires escalation / information sharing.
  • Hold monthly meetings with key partners to update them on content priorities, marketing activity and discuss further opportunities.
  • Contribute to partner QBR presentations and meetings.
