Role purpose
Reporting to the Senior Product Communications Manager, the Product Communications Manager is responsible for ensuring consistency of tone of voice and compelling product messaging, as well as technical accuracy and copy compliance across all touchpoints (internal, external, printed and digital).
The Product Communications Manager also plays a key role in supporting the development of product-related marketing campaigns and content.
Within the Global Product team, this role works closely with the Senior Product Communications Manager and Product Category Managers to shape long-term category strategies from a product communications perspective, ensuring clear product portfolio differentiation, claims and positioning to support Aesop’s growth.
This role is also responsible for the implementation and ongoing review of key process improvement initiatives to support ways of working both within the Global Product team and cross-functionally.
Role responsibilities include, but not limited to –
  • Be a key a custodian of Aesop products and brand, reinforcing the strategic impact & role of product communications on Aesop's brand and growth
  • Manage internal product copy reviews and approvals, ensuring consistency and compliance
  • Partner with Product Category Managers, R&D and Regulatory Affairs for technical claims communication audit/s and maintain copy compliance guidelines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the preparation of clear product launch briefs
  • Provide valuable input for product and ingredient information, product name, artwork copy brief, and artwork proofing
  • Partner with Retail Training, contributing to product training communications
  • Support marketing campaign strategy development and review of product-related campaign copy
  • Support Global PR team with review of press materials
  • Lead key process improvement initiatives for Product Communications function
  • Assist in ad hoc Product-related initiatives, providing counsel.
  • Mentor team members and provide cross-functional support for success.
This is a full-time position operating with a hybrid working pattern.  As an international brand and role, connection with other global functions, markets and regions is critical.  This role will require flexibility to connect with colleagues across time zones and may involve early and/or evening meetings/calls.

  • Communication-based experience within the consumer goods, beauty (and/or other highly regulated) industry
  • Cosmetic science and/or technical background /experience highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated proactive problem-solving ability and a solution-oriented approach.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in driving positive process and change-management.
  • A passion for literature, creative arts and the written word.
  • An open mindset and deep curiosity seeking to understand others, listen without judgement and act on diverse perspectives
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and psychologically safe work environment
  • Proven experience working with large cross-functional (remote) teams.
  • International work experience (across >2 regions) for a global/international business highly desirable
