Description

As a Senior Content Strategist, you will sit within the growing Organic Performance department. As part of our digital performance offering, your role will be to deliver and manage content marketing strategies (covering SEO as well as Digital PR and UX) for a variety of UK clients, across different verticals from an extensive high profile, global brand client portfolio. You will lead and help shape our content offering.
Specialising in content, you will work closely with the Organic Performance client teams, being the main day-to-day contact for content and responsible for the delivery of content activity, including, strategic direction and insights, on-site content creation, content for off-site/digital PR distribution to earn inbound links, and all other elements of content marketing to drive SEO and broader digital performance to achieve business objectives.
Support where necessary will also be provided from the senior Organic Performance leadership team. You will serve as a core source of information for the wider agency and clients on all things content, advocating the adoption of content strategies to driver performance. You will be provided with all the support required to perform your role. This ranges from proprietary tools to a wider team with expertise in all-round SEO and paid digital channels.
Key clients, you will be working on: You will be working across the OP client range with particular focus on Clarks, Bacardi, Mercedes-Benz and Lidl.
Key responsibilities:
  • With the help of the Content Director and leadership within the OP team, become the main point of contact for all things content across accounts you will work on
  • Strong content knowledge, specifically in the role it plays to drive performance within SEO and other performance channels
  • Identify content opportunities and develop strategies, using available tool stack and working with Organic Performance (SEO) client teams. You should be able to use a data-led approach to provide evidence-based content strategies to meet client objectives.
  • Full ownership of a number (through to all) content tasks on the client accounts you work across and have the confidence and knowledge to take broad objectives and translate into content tasks.
  • Work closely with Organic Performance client teams in the delivery of data led SEO strategic pieces such as keyword research (search landscape audit) and undertake content gap analysis
  • Identify audiences for clients and use this data to enhance content recommendations that will resonate with audiences
  • Ability to report on content performance (ROI analysis / post campaign analysis) using analytics (such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Adobe), third party SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMRush, Advanced Web Ranking), knowing what key metrics and KPIs to measure content success
  • Manage copywriters and other content partners (within our agency group network)
  • Manage and lead workstreams with agencies we work with within OMG to deliver link earning campaigns (earn inbound links, journalistic coverage, etc.)
Key Experiences:
  • Experience in full end-to-end content strategy creation and execution
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced agency environment
  • Strong SEO knowledge, particularly in on-site and off-site – Essential to have a progressive attitude to SEO and staying up-to-date with the latest channel/industry news and updates
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the role of content strategy and how it interweaves with wider business goals.
  • Proactively seeking new, innovative, workable ideas to enhance content strategies, drive business performance, processes/operations, etc.
  • Confident, comfortable and professional when communicating with key client stakeholders, internal/agency stakeholders and third parties
  • Ability to manage multiple streams of work for multiple clients
  • Ability to respond to client requests and emails in an appropriate time frame
