Amazon Rail seeks a senior leader that combines collaborative and analytical skills with a passion to invent for our customers. Our Program Managers are always thinking about the bigger picture. You will design the network for Amazon to go via Rail in a reliable, fast, efficient, and carbon friendly manners. This person should be an articulate individual, analytical, a process improvement expert, and should possess excellent written/verbal communication skills to influence positive outcomes for Amazon's customers as well as an eye for automation. Key job responsibilities
You would be a great fit for this role if you enjoy:
  • Overseeing complex, cross functional programs with internal and external stakeholders
  • Owning Amazon Rail's North Star and its development cycles
  • Engaging with Rail partners to drive Amazon's sustainability goals
  • Leveraging large data and performance metrics to drive business results
  • Leading business reviews with Amazon leadership and senior-level Rail executives
  • Partnering with finance, legal and network teams to shape future growth plans and guide Rail and landside partners through new launches and other special projects
  • Willing to travel up to 15%
A day in the life
  • Review the performance and attainment with our internal supporting functions and our external Rail and Terminal partners
  • Track the progress of upcoming expansions
  • Build business case and design network on new corridor expansions
  • Discuss with the BI team on data-tracking progress in our collaborating ports
  • Discuss new operating model and data accuracy with our Legal, Finance and Network team
  • Enhance operational performance on every programme in partnership with your stakeholders by leading specific efficiency improvement programs for Rail WHT.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • MBA, or Master's degre
  • Experience in program or project management
  • Experience in conceptualising and implementing operational or supply-chain management improvements
