Job Description
Job Overview:
The Communications Coordinator will support the Communications team, for Universal International Studios and the wider Universal Studio Group.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Act as team liaison and first point of contact for Universal International Studios’ (UIS) production companies based in the UK and internationally, additional NBCUniversal and Universal Studio Group (USG) divisions, external vendors and partner organisations.
  • Support with tasks such as maintaining senior leader’s diaries and ongoing meeting cadences, expense processing, series information documentation, industry research, updating budget trackers, organising and maintaining the team’s office space etc.
  • Assist with managing daily tasks assigned to the UIS intern.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
  • Maintain/update UK and global contact databases.
  • Update calendars and trackers surrounding shows, campaigns, festivals and events.
  • Monitor and provide insights and analysis on industry developments and wider campaigns.
  • Prepare internal and external-facing written materials for the Studio e.g. event schedules, meeting agendas and social captions.
  • Manage and lead on the editorial features, working with the UK & US based teams to facilitate opportunities.
  • Support Communications team on series publicity campaigns and industry markets and festivals for example series launch events, Edinburgh TV Festival and MIPCOM.
  • Oversee the intern in tracking press coverage and collating series campaign reports.
  • Facilitate and support ongoing internal initiatives and contribute ideas to promote our Studios’ values.
  • Act as a brand guardian on owned assets and work with the wider team to create bespoke assets and content to support series launches and NBCUniversal Formats activity.
  • Support and input into the UIS social strategy including campaign ideation and agency correspondence.
  • Assist in monitoring owned and third-party social channels to provide updates and analysis.
  • Continually develop working knowledge of current and emerging social media platforms, media landscape and emerging festivals/events.
  • Maintain standards of strict confidentiality with respect to all matters and documents.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year+ entertainment PR and/or marketing experience, preferably in-house.
