  • Sonny Holland

My final project within my Bachelors of Science in Electronic Music and Computing Technology. 1-Up is a live coding language, shipped as a: executable to be ran on the command line interface, and a max4live patch to recieve the notational data over OSC protocol. 1-Up is a means to interject 'live-ness' in the space of the laptop musician. Designed in accordance to the fundamentals present within various exercises of the 'music tracker' phenomena - the majority of the work in this project was informed upon my thesis, which explores various musical, and time domain based topologies prevelant within electronic music, and making their contortion as accessible to the user as possible.
