This was an open brief which required me to design and print a book or magazine of my choice. I decided to create my own hand bound book with illustrations that depicted the short childrens stories by the Greek scholar, Aesop. The final book was printed on Cairn white 120g recycled paper, which gave the illustrations a vibrant and dynamic colour. A japanese binding method was used to stitch the pages together. There were 8 stories told in total, with each one supported with an illustration. The illustrations were made in Adobe Illustrator, and used basic block colours and halftone textures to create a modern feel, which was a nice contrast against the old stories.
