AGDA Poster Design

  • Josh Cuss

This project was a mock brief for AGDA (Australian Graphic Design Association) for a project at CATC Design School. They required us to design a series of posters for an upcoming run of seminars that aim to inform studios and designers about tricky legal areas they may come across. The brief was very open, letting us design the posters in whatever style we please. I chose to design the posters in a tattoo-inspired style. Illustration is a skill I’m very interested in, so choosing this style enabled me to illustrate classic tattoo designs. I used a Wacom tablet to outline the designs in Illustrator. I then took the outlines and coloured the designs in Photoshop. Colouring in Photoshop allowed me to create some nicer blends between colours, where as Illustrator would have been a little bit too restricting for these particular designs.
