In 2019, I wrote and produced a play about three friends negotiating life post education. Exploring identity, love and fear of 'not making it'. The show enjoyed two sell out night s in the Boiler House Theatre. Combining inspiration from Stanislavsky and Cornish theatre company Knee High, we aimed to create a production with Naturalist, believable characterisation, dialogue and action whilst being experimental with set design, lighting and staging. This resulted in a very human set of romantic plots with humorous intervals including puppets and meta distractions from members of the crew disrupting the action to 'correct' things to suggest the idea that our depictions of love and success in media isn't always the way it seems.
