“Art Dubai, the leading international art fair for the Middle East and Global South today opened its 2024 edition. The 17th edition, which runs from 1 – 3 March at Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai (with previews 28 and 29 February) welcomes over 120 contemporary, Modern and Digital gallery presentations – over 65% of which are drawn from the Global South.” *Art Dubai Press Release, 28 February 2024* With a focus on fortifying its reach into the Global South, I had the opportunity to support the Art Dubai communications team with international press relations during the 2024 edition. Tasks were wide-ranging and included press trip coordination, management of spokespeople interview schedules, international media tracking and post-sale reporting. Coverage of the edition extended to a range of local, regional and international titles, across print, broadcast, and online outlets.
