MALLU is another brand that I first created to show some of my watercolour paintings, but as I am not painting so much and I have other plans and projects that I left aside for a few years, I decided to change from painting to a digital magazine, showing the way I see through photography. COLOR: I was undecided if I wanted something that linked to 'My Confused Mind' and to be colourful or another brand with a different idea and prospect. For a new brand that, at first, was to show paintings, being colourful seemed "childish" and trendy, not something that is consistent. As a second option, I thought about two neutral colours, but when I updated the profile picture on Instagram, it looked confused and dirty, or the way I see things, through a "square-like filter". I always liked the green colour and through colour psychology, green is "the great balancer of the heart and the emotions". It means rebirth, renewal, and growth. SHAPE: I looked for something round-like but at the same time modern. I searched for shapes on Pinterest, and I saw this one, that was an image that imitated a sticker, so I cut the shape and used it in the middle of the image. NAME: Different from 'My Confused Mind', I knew that I wanted to use my name or my nickname, as you may not know, I am called Marcella Luiza (which is a big name for a brand). I didn't want to use Marcella, because it didn't fit inside the shape brand, and I didn't want to use Luiza, because I never used just this name. My sister once gave me the nickname Malu, which joins Ma (Marcella) and Lu (Luiza), as my name is with a double 'L', I decided that Mallu would be better and according to numerology, this name is a number 5, which means smartness, curiosity, and willingness to accept changes.
