BA18 FRAILTY OF MAN

  • Andy Riley

Centred around the theme of gender and identity, Pushing the boundaries of what constitutes manly clothing. FRAILTY OF MAN is a collection of juxtaposition. It contrasts defined, oversized shapes, derived from traditional workwear, meant to envelop the wearer, with organic feeling embroidery, and straps aimed at making the wearer feel both safe and secure, whilst simultaneously creating a claustrophobic feeling. The collection explores the relationship between Man and The Natural World. Where man mines and depletes, nature grows and claims back what is rightfully it's own.
