What’s happened to nakedness? A film that questions our relationship with nakedness and asks why we so quickly relate it with sex, fear, and loathing. For those that seek out social nudity in their day to day lives, nakedness breaks down barriers, gives back choice and builds a trusting community where naked is normal. Bare with me asks us to question what’s happened to nakedness?
One third of the film is shot by the participant herself who chooses how she appears naked. The film also uses abstract, extreme close ups of the body, plus a split screen effect, to question both our obsession with the naked body and the barrier clothing, perhaps unhealthily, provides.
