BE&YOU, a site specific photography based installation took place in Rochester, Kent in May 2014.
Set in two contrasting rooms, and spread across two floors of a converted bank building, an audience were invited to explore the darker side of beauty and body image created by today's society. Guided to a blank brightly lit room the audience were subjected to viewing a woman immaculately dressed displayed in an exhibition box. Afterwards in a run down basement room a projected photography montage showed the often painful and demanding process women may undertake to become beautiful. The installation aims to make us consider what is too much and when we should stop and be ourselves.
