Beauty Of The Common Tool revisited

  • Nathanael Lowden

A studio Photography project based on the humble tools that you will use for DIY. The jacket was shot with colour gel and a pop-up studio background that I used as a diffused the lights to make the tools stand out. This project is based on the project by Walker Evans, 'Beauties of the Common Tool', for Fortune magazine, The humble tool is presented with the version that I have used to be shown for a print and the square format is designed for Instagram. This project was part of my University project for Introduction to Creative Practice (studio), Year 1 at Canterbury Christchurch University.
