BENJAMIN ROBIN A/W25- "pretty bastards touching each other"

BENJAMIN ROBIN is a London based emerging label focusing on the concept of "queer masculinity". I founded the brand in 2023 following my graduation from London College of Fashion. I take from my own experiences of intimacy as a queer person to inform my practice, emphasising the importance of showing these narratives in an uncensored way in this increasingly politically and ethically conservative climate we live in. With my designs I subvert male archetypes through a queer lens while telling these stories of intimate moments, like a hookup or the cruising. With the clothing I create in my little home- studio in London, I dissect my own identity and experiences as a queer person both as someone living in the big city versus the small town I spent the later part of my childhood. In the third collection for the brand, debuted in Paris in March, I wanted to build upon the ideas from previous where fleeting moments of intimacy are captured through pulling, unzipping, twisting distortions of fabric while delving further into these characters that one encounters walking through London, each fulfilling these very disparate archetypes of masculinity, coming together to experience these rushed moments of passion.
