Breath Variation - Visual Identity

  • Moeko Doi

I collaborated with MA Curating Contemporary Art students from Royal College of Art and the gallery Flat Time House. I mainly designed the visual identity posters and leaflets for the exhibition. It was a very exciting project with very good collaboration opportunities:) ------------- New site-specific commission Breath Variation (@breathvariations) at Flat Time House (@flattimeho ) by artist Christopher Steenson (@chris_steenson.wav) curated by students from Royal College of Art (@royalcollegeofart) MA Curating Contemporary Art (@rca.cca) Opening hours: Friday 12 – Sunday 14 May, 12-6 pm Opening event: Friday 12 May, 6-8 pm In conversation with solo artist and guest speaker: Sunday 14 May, 3 pm Using sound, video, and transmission-based methodologies, Breath Variations will explore the materiality of time – its permanence and evanescence – and the power that attention has over its transmission and state of matter. By manipulating and extending the sonic dimensions of Flat Time House, Steenson investigates the capacity of breath as a ‘least event’ – John Latham’s term for the shortest departure from a series of nothingness – to punctuate linearities of time and space.
