A Champion This time the heroism returns to its modern and contemporary meaning, in a movie called: The Hero, within a Syrian circumstance, that referred "the concept of the hero" to ancient times: the knight, the fighter, or the martyr in battle. In the movie "The Hero", what looks like a cure - which surprises us - happens to Syrian history now! How do? By returning the hero to a "strong body", but .... within its modern context: as a sports hero. The championship is now returning in Syria as in the world: to the athlete, with all the symbolic dimensions of the concept of "hero". In Syria, when this therapeutic "response" occurs through a cultural and cognitive medium such as a film, we are not only facing a correction of society and concepts ravaged by the war, but rather a resurrection of the soul, through a real myth created by the film before us; The legend of the hero athlete, whom the warden turned into a helpless person. In the end, however, he recovers his "body" not only on the individual level, but on the social and organizational level, in the form of the General Authority for Sports and Youth, and on the symbolic level as a Syrian person, who draws his heroics from under the "speech of the father Assad - and the son-lion" to his own free speech and voice.
