City of Dreams changes recruitment base for Dubai resort executives by baccaratsite win
Tim Kelly, pictured, has been named the new real estate president of Macau casino resort City of Dreams, said Lawrence Ho Yau Lung, president and chief executive of Melco Resorts & Entertainment, the venue's promoter, on Tuesday.

The new executive was the latest to chair Atlantis Global, a major non-game tourist resort at Kherzner International in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Kelly will begin work "on or around August 1," and will report to group president and managing director Evan Winkler, according to an internal memo from Melco Resorts.

Mr. Ho said in Melco Resorts' first-quarter earnings call that Mr. Kelly had "great success building the Atlantis brand since he joined [[Kusner]] in 2017.

"He has a unique mix of skills and experience, and we think he can lead the next chapter of the City of Dreams," added Melco Resorts president.

Melco Resorts posted a net loss of $81.3 million in the first quarter of 2023, compared to a shareholder net profit of $15.2 million in the first quarter.

Evan Winkler mentioned some of the operational changes that have already occurred in the group's cotai flagship, City of Dreams, following changes in the group's management that began earlier this year during a call on Tuesday. These included building businesses in the premium bulk gambling sector.

He said: "When we had a change in management, Lawrence really directed the team to take back our leadership position with Premium Mass."

Mr Winkler added: "We've been looking at every aspect of our business from a customer-centric perspective to make sure our product and service delivery and gaming experience aligns with that leadership position."

"When you go up to the floor specifically at Citi of Dreams, you'll see that you've already moved electronics and integrated the products at the end of the floor," he added, which is closest to the resort's Grand Hyatt Macau hotel.
