Clone Me is a short film started with a question "the K-pop fashion trend too homogeneous for the millennials in Korea?". Idol fashion comes to mind as the image of an idol is highlighted as an essential value. Style is closely related to all-stars exposed to the mass media and Idols and plays a vital role in building stars' image because it used as an image-making tool for stars. Besides, idol fashion has recently emerged as an important trend in the fashion industry in that idol stars play a role as a catalyst for style by boosting the fashion industry and appealing their image to the public. Various activities of Korean idol stars have a massive impact on youth generation. Millennials and z-generation imitations of celebrities have shown to mimic their favourite media stars' language and fashion. The expression used mainly in this project is the primary repetitive expression method in pop art and Dadaism's surreal element. Pop art replicates images of objects or characters, which is seen as similar to the phenomenon of copying in today's K-pop fashion. The Dadaism movement is an art that could not understand the nature of pop art. Now K-pop fashion is in the same direction as this research, which aims to criticize repetitive phenomena. Therefore, the film utilizes the spirit of Dadaism, surreal elements and repetitive patterns of pop art. The film produce and re-imagine films challenging K-Pop's current aesthetics, exploring individual fashion choices that the younger millennial generation can objectively think about K-Pop and influence identity development.
