Cocito
Cocito is inspired by the Ninth Circle in Dante's Inferno. Dante describes Cocito as being the home of traitors and those who committed acts of complex fraud. Depending on the form of their treachery, inhabitants are buried in ice to a varying degree. In this animation I condesed in a fluid and continuous movement, all the four descending "rounds" or sections, and all the degrees of punishment
In Caina, traitors to blood relatives are buried in ice up to the neck.
In Antenora (traitors to country) Dante encounter two souls frozen in the same spot,
with one just behind the other that devours his neck and back of the skull.
In Ptolomea, traitors to guests are buried laid with the face pointing upwards,
so that when one cry, the tears freeze on his eyes and block the other tears in.
Without an exit, the pain can't even come out of the body.
In Judecca, where stands Lucifer, traitors to masters and benefactors
are completely under the frozen water.
