CODE 11: Graduate Fashion Collection - Class of 2020

Throughout this project I have explored the ways in which the mechanical and materialistic beauty of cars, specifically kit cars used for racing, can be used as a platform to inspire creative pattern cutting, textile techniques and a vivid colour palette. I have experimented with sourcing interior and exterior products from a car and see how the relationship between the structure and male form can be portrayed. Also, I have used a variety of technical fabrics with an interesting composition to challenge traditional menswear. Bonded fabrics and plastics along with leathers and some sports fabrics have captured the essence of my concept.
