Consuming My Way To The future With My Afro Intact

  • Ebony Francis

This performance was a parody of the "new" popularity of Afrofuturism, exploring how easy trends are created and their power to disrupt "ordinary" narratives becomes polluted through over consumption, oh and why there are some many chocolate bars with cosmic names!

This video was inspired by diary of a black tree and her live performance art piece done at Inivia in 2017. Poetry, production and editing are by Ebony Francis, camera work by activit film maker Toying Agbetu and music by Freedom of freedom Entertainment.
