This outcome also uses the idea of a statement in an uncomfortable place, something in the everyday life of the viewer, a message placed where it can't be ignored. These wheatpastes are illuminated by the traffic bollards in a nod to a memorial candle, to be seen momentarily perhaps by passing cyclists or motorists and hopefully they will remember these women let down by the state.
This wheatpaste lists the names of women let down by the Irish State and treated cruelly as a result of the 8th amendment. They were denied the healthcare they needed, and their stories are so often brushed aside by our government. Photos show the fresh wheatpaste, and the wheatpaste the next week after it had been torn.
