CREATING A FAMILY HOME IN LONDON WITH A HINT OF OMAN

  • Ian Silverstein

Overview The brief was to create a homely environment for the family to come and stay in and use as a base when in London. Challenge We wanted to create a soft and welcoming style that accommodated all the family, provided a useable space and had an essence of Omani culture. Solution Working to the agreed brief we created mood boards, design rationale and a full concept for each room, their styles, layouts and how we intended to accessorise each room to complement each other and work as a whole scheme throughout the apartment. At this stage we also provided a comprehensive project costing schedule, time plan and visual references for every item within the scheme. Throughout the 10 weeks from start to finish we were in regular contact with the client and providing a weekly progress report detailing all elements of the project. On approval of the overall scheme including costs, specifications and layout, we worked on the design detailing along with various suppliers managing the whole process to deliver an end-to-end solution for the client. Throughout the project we worked very closely with the client and all the suppliers to coordinate all of the site meetings, delivery schedule, installation and implementation. We also arranged for a stylist and photographer to be on site prior to handing over the finished project to the client. http://www.creativeaction.co.uk/portfolio_page/sultan-apartment-interior/
