THE MUSES. "Currency" "Foundation" By stripping away the masks, my goal is to reveal the layers beneath—showing how we have not only fallen victim to but also become participants in upholding the constructs of "good society." This facade is a system built on superficial ideals, demanding conformity while sweeping aside discomfort, dissatisfaction, and deeper truths. We are handed the tools to maintain appearances, to polish the surface, and to ignore the cracks. Yet, in doing so, we obscure both our individual complexities and our shared humanity. My work invites viewers to confront this uncomfortable space. Through simplified, featureless figures inspired by the Rorschach Test, I explore the pressures of identity and conformity, inviting interpretation and introspection. These figures, stripped of detail and reduced to silhouettes, act as mirrors, reflecting the viewer's psyche and biases. This deconstruction is not only about understanding societal structures but also about challenging the illusion of paradise we so readily accept. By exploring themes like "Currency," which dissects the commodification of bodies, and "Foundation," which critiques the power structures we worship, I hope to spark dialogue that transcends surface-level perceptions, urging others to question and perhaps even redefine their role in maintaining this "good society."
