Dazed 100

I'm the founder of TULASI, a luxury womenswear label that specialises in digital fashion. I create garments that exist in real life to wear and twin them so they exist in virtual environments. My work is inspired by my Kenyan-Gujarati heritage and the idea of what it means to be "British", especially after the riots and attacks against South Asian communities this year. My most recent collection entitled "Father's Trade" is inspired by my father’s heritage, emerging as geographic details, through the garments he and my mother sold in their retail store in the 80s.

Digital incorporation makes the in-real-life work flow sustainable, as I don’t go into physical materials as early. Experimenting with draping on the 3D form in digital software allows prototypes to be self-sufficient: in turn saving wastage. Physical garments are cut with an economical lay plan and offcuts are kept to be recycled for other projects.
An immersive virtual environment developed in Unreal Engine 5.
VOGUE X BMW

I was recently shortlisted as runner-up and finalist for my project in conjunction with British Vogue and BMW that celebrated the importance of female drivers in conjunction with UN Sustainability Goal 12, responsible consumption and production.
SOHO HOUSE X CREATIVE FUTURES COLLECTIVE

TULASI and my most recent collection enabled me to be awarded a global fellowship at Soho House & Co, due to my contribution to the arts.
I am very passionate about making the arts more accessible to young people who may not have the option to access fashion culture and in 2025 will be developing schemes to share and integrate art into underprivileged communities.
ANNE-MARIE TOUR
Creating the garments for the Anne Marie tour at 19 was a thrilling opportunity to blend creativity and fashion on such a high-profile platform at such a young age.

Each piece I create is driven by a commitment to inclusivity, authenticity, and the belief that design can empower and celebrate diverse voices, cultures, and identities.
