Defying is an individual project developed during my Erasmus exchange semester in the Lahti Design Institute in Finland. The aim was to design a traditional cover and spread of a newspaper with a theme of our choice.
I choose the sexuality in the present time, related to gender roles and how they affect our society. I used texts from Judith Butler and other authors that developed written articles about this subject. I aimed to make a strong publication with an irreverent matter but still with quite traditional design, that doesn’t need to be shouting to be bold.
