Members of the digital art collective, angryPixel (Lukasz Karluk, Eli Murray and Scott Brown) were asked to create 'Dusk' as part of the Underbelly Arts festival in July, 2010.
Blurring the line between physical and virtual, 'Dusk' encourages participants to engage with projected fireflies in the installation space. Sound and vision generated in real-time, work together to create the illusion of life.
The combination of custom built motion-tracking software, artificial light and shadow, and the creation of a surround sound space, makes 'Dusk' not only an elaborate, but immersive installation.
