Our architectural research group is focused on exploring innovative and sustainable architectural solutions in the context of extreme scarcity, a theme we have encapsulated under the motif of "Surviving the Apocalypse." This project delves into the hypothetical scenario of an apocalyptic event to push the boundaries of traditional architectural practices and rethink how we design and utilize spaces and resources. The central aim of our project is to address how architecture can adapt to severe resource limitations while still providing habitable and functional living environments. We analyze historical precedents, current technologies, and future possibilities to create adaptable, resilient, and self-sustaining practices. we created a comprehensive zine that documented our research findings, design concepts, and speculative narratives. This zine serves as both a creative expression and a practical guide, showcasing our vision of how architecture could rise to the challenge of an apocalyptic future.
