EDITORIAL | AW20 Concept Collection

Within lockdown i've been exploring new ways to showcase seasonal fashion in a way that is mindful of social distancing and sustainability. My concept would be for a designer to transfer their designs to wearable meshes for The Sims, and for the 'fashion show' to be a digital experience. During lockdown i've spent 110 hours playing Sims, using it as a method to experience some sort of reality. I styled each outfit to contribute to the wider A/W20 collection - whilst I did not create the meshes for each individual item of clothing, I did curate the outfits to be cohesive to one another and contribute to the overall story. My main inspirations for the collection are Jacquemus and Gucci, with smaller influence from Balenciaga and Chopova Lowena. Although an A/W collection, I wanted to draw in a typical summer aesthetic, conveying the idea of our dissolution of time and structure.
