Printed score of the opera by Robert Wilson In this project, I devised a system of notating music alternative to classical music notation. By notating the music according to where an instrument sits in the orchestra this gave rise to a semi-circular grid that housed the notation. Instruments were given their own colour and lengths of notes were indicated through weights of typeface. The longer a note was held for the stronger the weight of typeface. This became a printed score but the system of notation could work across all genres of music. This project received a International Society of Typographic Designers (ISTD) Pass Award & Membership, the Jacques Teljeur Award for Excellence in Typography and Highly Commended in the Institute of Designers in Ireland's Graduate Design Awards.
