At times I pull off my Masks
My black mask comes off first
Then my white masks
And normally I'd close my eyes
And the ask myself
What skin colour am I
And with my eyes closed
I always said black
But on one occasion I asked for a mirror
What I saw was anatomist like Creature
With the beauty of a Panthera Tigris
But the mystical premise of a biblical riddle
And then looking at my masks
I looked back at my mirror
And I understood something
Which is regardless of what you see
It is me
And I believe I am black with shades of white- the story of why I Killed my Skin to save My Skin
