#FACEUP was an awareness campaign set up in collaboration with Amnesty International, which raised conversation about enforced disappearances happening within Sri Lanka. The campaign was designed around the case of missing political cartoonist, Prageeth Eknaligoda. We took the illustrative approach of his work and turned it into a method that could highlight this human rights violation and allow the people to interact with the campaign. This process started by drawing random faces of the public as they walked by.

To present the #FACEUP campaign we travelled to South Bank in London where we set up our #FACEUP board and props to interact with the public.
We allowed people to interact with our campaign by erasing the face's we drew and then signing the petition for the campaign at the bottom of the card. Particpants then placed their rubbings on the tally board alongside other members of the public and collected a free poster that offers further information on the campaign and its link with Amnesty International.
