Procreate is a brilliant digital painting app. It is inexpensive and powerful. There is also Procreate pocket which was a very basic version fitting the phone in my pocket. I love the bigger version so much that I thought I will buy the app even though I wasn’t sure how am I to use it. And this is where my fast faces idea came from. Whilst being portable the iPad still doesn’t fit all life situations. I realised that the pocket version must be the equivalent to a sketchbook if the iPad is the canvas. Fascinated by being able to throw out these very swift digital sketches at places where I wouldn’t be working at before. I thought I will do a 100 of them and then I will select the best and print them in a very small book. In the meantime, the project was featured in the Re: magazine and even made it to the cover. Now I am looking at the 20 I selected and I am excited to pick the small screen again and try to draw another 200 so the book, I never put together, is a bit more than 10 pages long.
