Final Collection

My collection is heavily based around old sails where I have created a collection by reusing them and upcycling! As a designer, I find that it is more important than ever to contribute to the fashion industry’s path of change through creative reuse. Not only are the sails of sailing boats aesthetically appealing to me, but they also have limited life span leaving many, worn, damaged and unwanted. I consequently channelled all my energy to give new life to an otherwise wasted material. They were an exciting, attractive and innovative material to use, creating a contrast between the old and new.
